Squared Eyes is a subscription-based platform that manages non-commercial exhibition rights for cultural institutions. We handle licensing, legal clearance, and access to a curated catalog of films by renowned international directors — so you can focus on programming, not paperwork.
Only accredited professionals and institutions dedicated to non-commercial cultural programming are eligible. This includes festivals, museums, film archives, universities, and government-supported platforms.
Applicants must meet strict criteria and be approved by our Selection Board.
We manage non-commercial public exhibition rights. This includes cultural screenings, educational events, and free-entry public programs. We do not handle commercial, theatrical, VOD, or broadcast rights.
Yes — authorized members may sublicense films to third parties for non-commercial use.
Squared Eyes retains a 15% commission on any fee collected, and we require notification and reporting for each sublicensed event.
Each film licensed through Squared Eyes comes with a five-year term starting from the date of payment. During this time, the member may screen the film or sublicense it within the agreed territory.
If a member fails to pay the annual membership fee, all rights to films licensed that year are suspended. No screenings, sublicensing, or access to tools will be permitted until the balance is cleared.
If the required language subtitles aren’t available, you may create them. These subtitles will be shared back to the platform as a contribution — helping future members and improving access.
